Beaches
Two welcoming white sandy private beaches - one to the east & one to the west - are available for our guests at Casa Tranquila. The beaches begin at La Playita, just east of San Jose on the other side of the estuary, and all the way down the coast to the beaches of Cabo San Lucas.

La Playita
Just east of town, taking Benito Juarez Blvd. east over the river, then right. White sandy beaches running for miles up the coast! A gathering spot for locals. This is the main place for panga fishing departures out of San Jose del Cabo.

Playa Acapulquito
(Old Man's) - Just on the other side of the bluffs at the west end of Costa Azul scenic overlook. Access is from Highway One northbound, exit at the dirt road by the beach houses. A beautiful, but somewhat smaller, beach. Usually not as crowded as Costa Azul.

Playa Chileno
The Corridor's most popular and accessible swimming beach, larger with more public facilities. Water sport equipment rentals are available. Combination sandy beaches and low rocky bluffs in a spectacular beach setting. The offshore reefs come right up to shore, allowing very easy access for snorkeling!

Playa Costa Azul
Starting from the San Jose end, this is one of the best. Fun beach washed by low breakers, good for surfing and boogie boards. Sandy beach, rocky bottom. Zipper's Restaurant & Bar right on the beach is the perfect place for lunch and to watch it all.
